    Compare two columns

    Hello!

Thanks for all the help I am getting here. I have another question:
    Please check my attached dummyfile.

    I have to spreadsheets, sheet 1 & 2.

I want a macro to check if the value in column c, sheet 2 is found in sheet 1. Then, if it is found I want the entire row copied into sheet 2.

The tricky part is that the values have different length in strings, and i want it to exclude everything after "."

This means: If the values are the same in both columns, and online iex ".ib" differs, then I want to copy the row.

Anyone how knows how to fix this?

Re: Compare two columns - difficult

Perhaps this? But you have repeated values on both sheets...

    Thanks for a quick reply

Yes, that is a problem. But I guess I could delete them at the end.

And I also would like to have the values copied under the existing cells, the original sheet has more values in columns "d" and forward...
