    Try SUMIF

    elg

    =SUMIF(A1:A10,"A",B1:B10)+SUMIF(A1:A10,"T",B1:B10)
Where there is a will there are many ways.

    Hi,

I think you'll need to upload a sample workbook. When you do be sure to manually enter the results you expect to get - and add notes describing how the results are calculated if it's not immediately obvious.

If the answer is supposed to be 7.5, then try:

    =SUMPRODUCT((F5:BB5="A/LS/LE")*((F6:BB6="A")+(F6:BB6="T")),E6:BA6)

Excellent, that solve most of my problem, what if I want to add if the A/ls/le column number and that it calculate those number OR the A or T as you set up?

Re: replacing letter in cell another cell

So if the A/LS/LE column has a number in it, use that, or if it has A or T use the previous column entry.. is that what you mean?

    Try:

    =SUMPRODUCT(($F$5:$BB$5="A/LS/LE")*(($F6:$BB6="A")+($F6:$BB6="T")),$E6:$BA6)+SUMIF($F$5:$BB$5,"A/LS/LE",$F6:$BB6)
