    Are Custom Linestyles Possible?

For charts there is a very limited number of linestyle available to choose from (ie solid, dashed, dotted). Is it possible to make new ones? What I would like to do is create a linestyle made of repeating letters/numbers. This way I could indicate limits on a graph based on code provisions and have the code provision and number as the line.

Line styles are limited to built in choices.

Would a data label not be better to annotate the line?

Not really, graph is a bit cluttered to keep adding more. Was hoping to simplify it and reduce the legend.

You can remove legend entries from the legend without removing the series from the chart.

Depending on your current chart setup and the line you are trying to draw you may be able to use picture fill on a thin slice of a stacked column chart.

Yep, I knew how to do that but I can't remove the ones I have left. In short I have a graph that is bound by 2 different sets of code limits and as of now I just have those limits marked with a line and then notating what each limit line is based on which code (4 total limits). It would be easier if I could make the lines out of text (kinda like those yellow police line tapes repeat themselves over and over) so as to unclutter the graph as much as possible. Seemed simple enough at first and thought maybe someone or microsoft had an add-on to do that.

If you need more help post a workbook example of what you currently have to clarify.
