    making an order button

Hi, I am very new to excel 2007 and don't know much about it. I have 2 excel files i want to be able to use. One file is a master parts list i created and the other file is an order form created by the company i work for. I want to create an order button on my parts list file beside each part number. I want to be able to specify quantity to be ordered and the quantity and part number ordered have to appear in different columns in the order file. Is there a tutorial out there to help me?

    Hi Joseph

I'm not aware of any tutorials that will give you specific direction to resolve your issues. There are plenty of books available for developing code in Excel 2007. John Walkenbach's stuff is pretty good for giving basic ideas.

It's my experience that the best approach is to just "get on with the get tin' on".
    • Define what you have.
    • Define what you want it to be.
    • Figure out how to get from here to there.
If I can, I'll be happy to help you with that process. You'll need to provide some information:
    • Post a copy of your Master File parts list
    • Post a copy of the Order Form
    • Create a worksheet that shows what you want to see as output
If you wish me to help, I'll need to know some basic information such as:
    • Are the Master Fie and the Order Form separate workbooks?
    • Will your output be a new file or a worksheet in one of the above files?
Your profile doesn't indicate Excel 2007. You may wish to change that.

Let me know how I can help.
