Hello everyone!

Hopefully this is a quick fix.

I have two workbooks. One for ESTIMATING the job and one for BUDGET once awarded the job.

In the ESTIMATING workbook, i have two worksheets, individually named, representing two different installation processes. I would like to keep them in the same workbook, because we are often asked to supply both installation methods, and i have links between the two for "description of costs" , "project name" purposes, to save time in entering data twice.

In the BUDGET workbook, I have several worksheets, individually named. Some of these worksheets are linked to the ESTIMATING workbook. The links retreive such values as the estimated costs, description of costs, and so forth.

These are template files I use for each project. So, when i rename them, an place them under the new project file, I of course receive the message in the BUDGET workbook "Security Warning Automatic update of links has been disabled". This is not a problem, as i locate my ESTIMATING file for the same project, and voila.

The problem is that i would like to specifiy which worksheet from the ESTIMATING workbook the BUDGET workbook links to.

Of course in the BUDGET workbook, the worksheets i have linked to the ESTIMATING workbook specify which worksheet to pull values from.

Is there any way that within the formula that i enter for linking in BUDGET worksheets, that i can choose which workbook?

Some kind of "link to worksheet 1 if... or link to worksheet2 if.... I guess it may require a few new formulas in ESTIMATING worksheets as well?

For your information, both worksheets within ESTIMATING are formatted the same. The only thing that changes are the costs column for each particular installation method. All rows have the same values in column A.

A solution or even suggestions of how to set this up differently would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
