Change formula when selecting different names from drop down list

    Hi All

I want to create a drop down list and when an item is chosen it changes a formula to display a different date.

We use 2 different date codes one for our own products and one for customere products, would it be possible to create a drop down list so if "Customer Brand" is chosen the formula is changed in another cell so the correct date is shown and then if "Own Brand" is selected the same cell changes to the relevent date code.

Customer brand selected in F4 date in C7 changes to 17.10.2011, Own Brand selected in F4, C7 changes to 31.10.2011. The dates are calculated by formula so must be linked to drop down list in some way.

    Thanks for any help

What is/are the formulas currently? i.e how do you determine which dates?
Where there is a will there are many ways.

that wasn't the question, but I am guessing that perhaps you want something like this...

    =IF(F4="","",If(F4="Customer Brand",D31,D34))

assuming those are the only two choices available in F4

I cant get that to work correctly, it changes from Own Brand to Customer Brand but not back again

I originally had two date codes set up on the worksheet that update automatically according to todays date and time. The only difference between the two is the "Use By date" so I Wondered if this date could be changed by selecting the different type from a drop down box.
I can suppy the formula but not sure that whats you need to help me.
