    problem with rolling solver

    hello,

I want to use a macro to loop a solver more then 1300 times. Ik made a macro but is not working! Can somebody explain what i am doing wrong?

We use the solver to get optimal values for the rows in colomn I and J. With the target cell that the left E is the same as the right E. We set this in the solver equal to zero as target cell (this is column Q)

(In the file we use new_macro for the macro)
We can't get the macro go rolling.

I think I have to change the reference value in solver form I3 and J3 to I7 and J7. But I don't know exactly how I get it on the right way down.

Hope somebody can help us quickly

    Re: problem with rolling solver

You have several macros in the workbook -- which one are you using?

Looking at the last model setup in Solver, changing I3:J3 has no effect on the target cell (Q7), so there's nothing for Solver to do.

I use new_macro. Eventually i want in every cell of column I and J the optimal value.
Eventually V has to be very high and and sd v has to bo low (positive).

I3 and J3 has to be to I7 and J7, but I thought i could do it on that way

First, change the formula in Q7 to =(O7-D7)^2. You want those two cells equal, so you want to minimize the square (or absolute) error. Copy down to all rows.

    Then try this:
