Applying a filter based on a value in a drop down list

    Hi,

I have a drop down list in cell E5 which can select people's names. In a table on the same sheet (E41:P108) contains data where Column E has people's names. What I wish to do is when I select a name in cell E5, the filter on the table filters to only show the rows that has the person's name

    Cheers

    Hi Melyssa18

If you post an example of your data file (with dropdown), it would help us to know what you're working with and perhaps help us to provide a solution.

    Here is an example.

The idea is that the drop down list will filter the table and chart below

    Hi Melyssa18

Sorry, don't know crap about charts. You'll find help with this from others on the Forum. You may want to change your thread title a bit to indicate you're dealing with a chart.

If you don't get a response just post "Bump".
