    Overtime hours below 0

    Previous/original topic:
    https://www.excelforum.com/excel-pro...-too-long.html

    I have a new problem for when the formula (hours) goes under 0, it complicates things ...

    I have tried with a new If-solution but nothing is working.

    So for example when you have 1h 30min -> and you want -2h30 it should become -1h0min, but it keeps doing weird things :/

    I have added an attachment for anyone who wants to help me.

    thanks in advance!

    Re: Overtime hours below 0

    Excel can't handle negative time values, so you have to fake it;

    First use an If statement to determine whether or not your regular formula will return a negative number. If it doesn't, have it perform the regular formula. If it does, then invert your calculation: 2h30min-1h30min = 1h0min. Then use the CONCAT and TEXT functions to render the result.

    In this example, the value of A1 is "01:30", and the value of B1 is "02:30".

    Hmm, i can now make calculations below 0 but when the start is -2-30min en you fill in +4h+30m, it becomes weird :/
