    but what is meant by 5?

    Excel Help says it specifies the delimiter (for text files), in this case 5 signifies 'nothing'! I guess it doesn't apply.

    I heard that 5 is apply to office 2003. If for excel 2007 another value should be replaced. But I don't know, hmm...
