Identify Change in Grade or Position - Loop

Thanks for the help - Mod. see: http://www.excelforum.com/excel-prog...-learning.html
I have a real example now. Which I am struggling with.
In the attached file, I want to capture changes in grades, and positions. I can do this with the distinct employee numbers. So if their is a change of Grade, or Position for the same emlployee number, then capture it and place it in a cell.

There is a small example attached. Which shows what the result would look like...

    Thanks

Re: Identify Change in Grade or Position - Loop

Slight little hic-cup, as I worked on and added to the sheet...

The change in EmployeeID, captures the Grade and Position changes nicely. And I have altered the code so it works out the length of time between startt and finish, but I have an issue trying capturing the number of days in each Grade.

I'm guessing I have to capture the Grade change as well as the employees ID change, hence a loop within a loop? I think...

The problem column is the highlighted column..

    Many thanks

Is it possible that a person changes position and doesn't change grade? The scenario isn't covered in your example so just wondered what result you would expect.

PS I made a small correction to the code yesterday, not sure if you noticed.

Mmmmn..."person changes position and doesn't change grade" yes, that could happen too thinking about it. But I think my attached files hould be ok with that... I hope.

    The code with changes below...
