Why not just re-save it in the other folder?
Use the macro recorder to get the save code.
Start the macro recorder, press F12 to saveas.

Actually the scenario is that a excel file has a link with other excel file .This main excel file is come from field to head office with different names some times xyz.xls some times 123.xls .We have a automated process that the linked file always get the data from named MASTER.XLS (FROM FIELD ) so that person in the head office always change the name xyz.xls or 123.xls to MASTER.xls . Some times a person forget to change the name in the specific folder then we have a great loss in live data.....

    help plz

    thanks
