Randomize and highlight cell/value

Please see the attached worksheet.

Our company needs to randomly choose from the options listed in Column A. The user will put X's (ticks) next to the applicable options (Column C in the example. Option 1, Option 4, and Option 7 are "selected"). They will then select the Option from Column A that has the highest value/percentage.

I was wondering if there is a cleaner way to randomly choose from designated options in Column A and have Excel highlight the highest value.

Anyone have a better idea for how to accomplish this?

Hi there,

Take a look at the attached workbook. I may have totally misunderstood your requirements, but sheet one seems to do what I think you're looking for.

Column D contains the percentages which correspond to the options selected by the user.
Cell D4 contains the maximum value of these percentages.
Columns A and B are conditionally formatted so that the option and percentage cells corresponding to this maximum percentage are highlighted.

Pressing the F9 key recalculates the various random numbers on the worksheet, and the appropriate option and percentage cells are again highlighted
