Need Excel log to correspond with calendar

I am currently working on a project at work and need some guidance as to if this is possible or possibly steps into obtaining this, I have been reading and searching for a few days and haven't been able to come up with exactly what I'm looking for, although there seem to be a bunch of smart excel people on the site much smarter about the program than myself.

I am going to try and attach a link showing more of what I want to do but I will do my best to explain also. I am creating a spreadsheet log with 2 separate columns with "dates" and "materials" on a separate sheet I need a calendar to insert the material that corresponds to the date in the first log. Where, if I change the date cell in the first sheet it automatically changes the calendar sheet location and inserts the material back in the appropriate location on the calendar. So i'm guess in the rows will need to be linked together.
Sorry for the confusing post but any help or direction would be a huge help.

    Thanks in advance,
    Gabe

Hi Gabe and welcome to the forum,
The problem with your sample is the calendar is a picture and can't be manipulated with Excel.

I'd be looking to have Outlook (which shows calendar views) somehow display the stuff in your Excel worksheet.

This is all VBA related so it isn't a simple formula (maybe).
    Look at http://www.codeforexcelandoutlook.com/excel-vba/

to see where I'm going with this answer.
One test is worth a thousand opinions.
