can you just protect the workbook? tools-protection-protect workbook

if for whatever reason you can't...you could probably try a workbook method

I want users to have the ability to edit the existing worksheets, I just dont want them to have the ability to

1. Create new worksheets
2. Delete existing worksheets
3. Delete the workbook

If you Protect Workbook, and check Structure, it will prevent 1 & 2. No code required. You can optionally add a password.

Excel can't help you with #3. That is managed by the file system of your OS.
