Thumbs up How to create a macro to hide specific rows where 1st column contains merged cells

I am using excell 2010, trying to hide specific rows. I believe my macro is failing due to the first column (Column "A") containing merged cells.

I have attached a sample spreadsheet denoting the rows I need to hide, highlighted in yellow.

I have yet to try creating an un-hide macro since I haven't been successfull with the hide macro.

I am not proficient in writing macro's so I use the "Record a macro" feature.

Is what I'm trying to accomplish possible?

    Thank you!

Why have you merged the cells, as you are finding out MergedCells eventually cause problems. What determines which rows to hide? This basic example works on your sheet

    Hope that helps.

    Roy,

    Thank you for the solution!

My boss requested that the first column be merged to denote relative dates, vendors for each broadcast week.

The highlighted rows, which are the rows that needed to be hidden, will be the rows of data we do not want our vendors to see when we send them the spreadsheet.

    Again,

    Thank you!
