    Vlookup and weeks

    Hi,

    This is the problem,

In Cell A1 i got year and month (11-mar), what I want i B2 is to return that is return the first week in march, in C2 the second, D3 the third and so on.

I most be dynamic so if it A1 says (11-apr) and want the weeks for april.

Furthermore, some months have four weeks and some have 5, can it be varied so if there is only 4 the fifth cell (e1) is left blank?

    Really appreciate your help!

    Re: Vlookup and weeks

What do you mean by the first week in March? The first day ... 01 March 2011? Or the first Monday, which would be 07 March 2011.

What is the format of the "year and month (11-mar)" in cell A1? Is it a date but not showing the day? or is it a text value?

    1. With the first week I refer to the international standard of counting weeks for example :
7th of march until 13th of march is week 10.

    2. the format is 11-mar, which is 2011-march.

The format is a text value and I want it to return the week number if possible.
