    Financial Statements

Looking for peoples thoughts on best ways to prepare financial statements...

I currently embed excel files into word docs so that I have excel for all the calculations and then use word for the majority of the notes. Any ideas appreciated.

Over complicated. Why not just use Excel?

Failing that Word can do calculations
    Hope that helps.

Yeah... but you will need calculations and paragraphs of text on the same page, in the financial statement notes.. So, I am using excel for the calcs and word for the notes. Trying to optimize the best way to use em.

I usually just use Excel with footnotes and customize them to make them presentable.

Ok good. Thx for the input. For me, its quite different since I'm preparing public company statements with tonnes of writing at the end.
