    Complexity to far for graphs?

    Hi All.

I have a dilema, which might be an very easy fix or it might be undoable.

I need to have a summary page with a graph dealing with data from 12 other pages (months)

They are waste streams, such as metal waste, paper, food etc.

What has happened in the past year, is that new streams have come on line, which I have had to manually add to every month, then to the summary page. And its getting very complex.

In essence on each of the 12 pages is the same layout of graphs etc with the 13th page summarising these graphs.

Is there any way I can have new lines appear for the 12 pages of graphs and for the 13th page to update as well?

I was thinking of a master page that the other twelve 'emulate' for the most part.

    Is something like this possible?

    Regards

It's certainly doable, but the how-to-do part depends on how you have your data laid out and what you are plotting, how you add a new stream, etc. Is it possible to attach your file?

Re: Complexity to far for graphs?

Hi there, thanks for the response.

Looking around the web I am finding it hard to know where to start. Certainly it would appear that I cannot create a master page as it were.

I think what I am tempted to do is simply create some dummy entry points that when needed can be renamed. This causes me a couple of issues though.

Can a named range change dependant on a cell? I am using dynamic named ranges for the lists that the users picks from in the 12 monthly sheets.

Also is there an easier way to consolidate all the graph data, at the minute I copy all the data off of each page and paste it in the summary sheet and then I have them complicated formulas you have to control shift to work, hundreds of the damn things! on the basis all graphs will be the same on each sheet and the data for them graphs in the same place, is there any easeir way?
