    Combine data based on date

I have a spreadsheet which can resemble the following:

    ...

In the first column is dates, and in several other columns their are values. I need to combine the values together for similar dates.
Their may be more then 2 similar dates, and the respective columns only need to be summed up.
I understand this can be completed via Pivot Table but i'm trying to avoid this, as we are pulling data off of pivot tables and if it is required to break it down it can already be done. We are trying to create a 'MASTER' sheet. Is their a quick way to combine or is the only way to create a loop and copy values then delete rows?

    Hi dldecler
Look at Subtotal in the ribbon. In Excel 2007 click on Data --> Subtotal. Don't know where it is in Excel 2010 but you should be able to find it. You can then hide the details if you so choose.
This process can also run from a macro if that's the approach you wish to take. Post a sample workbook that has the same data types and structure of your actual workbook if you would like some help doing this.
