    Exclamation Macro to insert new row, and copy formula's

    I'm looking for a formula that will do as follows

    I have sheet1 and sheet2 and sheet3

    If I want to add a row in sheet1, this will be applied to sheet2 and sheet3 too
    {
    so if I insert a row in line 4 in sheet1, in sheet2 and sheet3, a new row will be automatically inserted.
    }

    With this new line that is inserted, I want it to copy the colours and borders, etc
    (
    so if on sheet3, that whole columns fill colour is red, this will be copied to the new row, if there is a thick border to the right, it will copy this to the new row

    It will copy the formula's consistent with that column
    (
    so if the columns all refer something like =a(rownumber), the new row will include this formula too
    )

    is this possible, and if so, how?

    Hello,

    this sounds like an awful lot of data and formula dupliaction. In good spreadsheet design, duplication of formulas and data on different sheets is rarely required.

    Can you step back and explain the bigger picture of what you want to achieve? There's possibly a better way to do it.

    cheers,
