Lock Rows With A Password After 5 Days

    Hi There,

This is my first time posting but I've seen the help it has generated for people so thought I would ask.

I am producing time sheets and I am needing to lock rows from 5 days before the current day with a password automatically and I have been reading about VBA coding in the forum that can do something similar but it seems that nothing has worked for me.

Wondering if anyone could help me or guide me on how to do it.

The file I need sorted is attached in the post.

Thank you so much in advance if you can guide me.

    Here you are.

The idea is that, for example using today's date, on the 8th October, from the 3rd October (as in 5 days before) and earlier need to be locked and protected with a password. The entire rows are needing to be protected and , if can be, need to be done in an automatic way.

    Hope that makes sense.

    Thanks

    Hi there bulina2k!

Thank you so much, that looks amazing!

Just so I could understand it, could you explain the VBA code, I know this is a lot to ask but I would really appreciate it as I am a bit new in the coding itself and wanting to learn to so I can improve.

But thank you so much, you have helped an incredible amount!!

    Hello Jeevs,

Please use this file. I did some modifications and explained line by line. If you have other questions I'll be happy to answer them.

    Thank You so much!!!

This is exactly what I needed and the line by line teaching has helped me understand VBA much much better!

Just so I can understand, is it meant to lock from today and before or is it possible to get it to lock 5 days before today, and I presume that is the following code.
Please Login or Register to view this content.
It just seems to have locked on todays date whereas I need it to be unlocked for todays date and 4 days before, but then 5 days before to be locked.

Bulina2k, you are savior and I heavily appreciate all this time and help you have given!
