    Vlookup help

    Hi

    using excel 2002

I need some help please, been at this for days

I have 2 sheets one call data1 the other working

working has 1 column: A with ID references.
data1 has 10 colums A to J, A has the same ID references as the first sheet, D has a second id ref that I need, see below

    data1
    A D
    CLB CLB01
    CLB CLB01
    CLB CLB02
    CLB CLB03
    BRA BRA01
    BRA BRA02
    etc
    etc
    etc

In the working sheet I would like to show from B C, D etc the unique ID ref from data1 column D see below?

    Working
    A B C D
    CLB CLB01 CLB02 CLB03
    BRA BRA01 BRA02
    BRF
    DEE

is it possible with Vlookup ans can it be done covering sheets data1 to 7

    thanks in advance

    Re: Vlookup help

What version of Excel are you working with? Please update your profile to reflect.

Also, is there a duplicate CLB01 in the data1 sheet? And if so, I guess you want it to appear only once in the Working sheet?
Where there is a will there are many ways.

    Re: Vlookup help

I noticed that you updated your post as requested... but you should somehow notify either with an added post or PM....because we are following many threads and yours might get missed otherwise..

    See attached for a sample.

In the data1 sheet I added a helper column with formula:

Please Login or Register to view this content.
    copied down.

This counts the unique items for each code.

then formula in Working sheet, B2 is:

Please Login or Register to view this content.
copied down and across as far as you think you need.

Can you also clarify what you mean by:
is it possible with Vlookup ans can it be done covering sheets data1 to 7
