    Always paste only values

    Hi Guys

I have sheet where some cells are unprotected. This cells are used for the operator to load data to the sheet.

I have protected the sheet from formatting, to avoid from users "destroying" the whole thing.

Still, I canīt find any way to protect the sheet from the formats from pasted stuff.

Same thing happen when the user drag and drop cells.

The worst part is that most of my sheet routines fires on the CHANGE event, which won't let the user to UNDO any mess he might DO when pasting or dragging and dropping.

I need, desperately, a solution to this.

It would be great If I could just block the drag and drop function and force the user to paste only values.

    Thanks already for your help.

    Hello bagulhodoido,

I can not duplicate your problem on a protected sheet. Perhaps my settings are not the same as yours. Would you describe what protections you have set on the worksheet?
    Sincerely,
    Leith Ross

I have allowed the user only to select the unprotected cells, nothing else.

I have been trying since I posted and I came up with sort of a solution.

It works fine so far when pasting stuff. To avoid the damage with the CUT command, I have deactivated it along with the draganddrop command in the Workbook_Activate event. I did the same with the shortcut keys commands.

I haven't been able to disable the ribbon cut icon, although, but, for now, I'm satisfied.
