Using Asap Utilities in a macro

Excel 2003; I usually just use the macro recorder. I also have ASAP UTILITIES installed, does anyone know if there is away to get the excel macro recorder to recognize this add-in. It is very handy and there is a text removal, character remover that works great but I would like to incorperate it with a macro that I am running and the macro recorder will not recognize this add-in. Is that a normal problem with add-in's.
