Talking Change properties for cells in added row?

    Hello!

I have a sheet with some rows used as a footer ("BottomStuff"). This code adds a row just above that range, so I can enter more data in the middle section.

I need this middle section's new row column C cell to have red text.

What needs to be added to this code to control the individual properties of each cell in the new row?

    ??

Re: Change properties for cells in added row?

    mohd,

Here's the way it should work.

    1. Click the Add a Row button.
    2. Middle section expands with new row that looks like Row 6 (borders around each cell, red text in C, cells D:F formatted as number with Data Validation, sum formula in column G, columns A:F unlocked; column G locked.)

    3. If you look at the code, I jumped on your code as a way to change the properties of each cell, so then I went crazy with each cell A:G. When your code didn't seem to change anything, I was stuck again.

    4. And then if it is an easy fix, the yellow box should have the list of just the middle section column A's, not the column A's for the entire sheet.

BTW, you figure this one out, I can call alot of my threads "Solved".

    Thanks for looking!

    Talking Thread Summary

    All,

This thread solution is summarized by the following thread:

    http://www.excelforum.com/excel-prog...ot-blanks.html

At the bottom of that thread, you will find two workbooks: one which adds rows at the bottom of a sheet, and another which adds rows in a middle section of a sheet.

99.9% of the tough stuff was by virtue of the Excel geniuses in this forum. Thanks all for helping complete a project which will make work easier for many, many people!

    Respectfully,

    Lost
