Talking Data validation for cells in added row.

    Hello!

Button adds new row. New row has borders around each cell A:G, cell G is locked and has a sum formula. User puts number of work hours in D:F.

Problem: I want to validate and format D:F so that user can only enter decimals (ex., 2.25 hours). I used the macro recorder to do the validate portion of the code, but the debugger keeps popping up with Add of object Validation failed.

Anyone see how to fix this code?

    Thanks!

Question Re: Data validation for cells in added row.

    All,

Juggled around the code a little, but it still doesn't like the .Validation. Add line:

    ??

    Talking Thread Summary

    All,

This thread solution is summarized by the following thread:

    http://www.excelforum.com/excel-prog...ot-blanks.html

At the bottom of that thread, you will find two workbooks: one which adds rows at the bottom of a sheet, and another which adds rows in a middle section of a sheet.

99.9% of the tough stuff was by virtue of the Excel geniuses in this forum. Thanks all for helping complete a project which will make work easier for many, many people!
