How to link Ingredient Price List and Food Costing work sheets

    Hi!

I'm currently running a restaurant and we do the recipe costings manually. We're re-doing the entire menu and so we have to do the costing over again as well. I've already created a worksheet for the unit prices of each ingredient and another worksheet for the recipes. I'd like to be able to link the recipes to the price list so that i won't have to link each ingredient to it's price per recipe. I have over 60 recipes and it's very tiresome to do them one by one. is there a way to do this? perhaps a formula. i've tried vlookup, but i can't seem to figure out how to make the formula.

    help?

    thanks!

    selie,

    Welcome to the Excel Forum.

To get the most precise answer, it is best to upload/attach a sample workbook (sensitive data scrubbed/removed/changed) that contains an example of your raw data on one worksheet, and on another worksheet your desired results.

The structure and data types of the sample workbook must exactly duplicate the real workbook. Include a clear and explicit explanation of your requirements.

To attach your workbook, click on the New Post button, then scroll down and click on the Go Advanced button, then scroll down and click on the Manage Attachments button.
    Have a great day,
