Form Control losing cell link value

Hi, I am creating some survey forms in excel 2007 and I have lots of radio buttons grouped within group boxes.

Based on user input, I am hiding/unhiding the controls (if there is a certain string in the name of the control). What I am noticing is that sometimes the radiobuttons are losing the value of the cell link property. Has anyone come across this issue before? what is a solution to this problem?
