This is possible, but it requires a bit of coding to get it done...
Example;
So, basically, use 'PPT.somecommand' to do what you want to manipulate your instance of the PowerPoint Application. If you want to know how to programmtically create slides, insert objects, pictures, etc. just open powerpoint and use the record macro feature while doing those things and review your code.
