    Macro to replace VLOOKUP

I got some great help here this afternoon from Roger, then I went to a meeting and was asked to add some features to my spreadsheet.

So far, when a task is entered in Column A by the user selecting a task from a drop-down list, the user name and date started are populated automatically. And that works great now.

Now I need to also have the next step in the handoff and an email link show up in Column H and I, respectively. VLOOKUP does not work because sometimes a step needs to be repeated out of order and at that point VLOOKUP fails.

The second sheet of the attached has the list I want it to look in to find the info for the two columns, but they need to work no matter what order the steps are selected in.

Is there a way to do this with a macro?

I would be very appreciative of any help anyone can give me.

    Thanks!
    -Evelyn

I think vlookup will work, the formula on your sheet did not have absolute references so ranges were changing as you copied, i changed this -

*turns bright red* Oh man, now I'm really embarrassed. I really do know better, too. Yes, that fixes it. Thank you for straightening me out.
