    Re: Programming to format

Hi smhelp and welcome to the forum. Looking at your workbook, I think it would help if you added mock data to it instead of everything being either Data#, Record#, Section#, and Heading#. Unless of course you just want the sheet to have those values for which you wouldn't need a macros. The closest you can make to what you will be actually working with the better. We don't need nor want sensitive information, just mock information.

Hi smhelp, Just to clarify, is your Input table static or will the range change? I realize it will be a larger range than your mock data but will the range increase or decrease in size at any given update? Also, what do you mean by "I need the sort also to be working in the output"?

    Hi smhelp
If you are new to Excel are you aware of Pivot Tables?
What you require can be done with a couple of mouse clicks.

The Input table will change, I will be getting the data from the database everymonth.

The data is huge, and the number of coulumns that the merge needs to be done is 7.

Also, what do you mean by "I need the sort also to be working in the output"?
If we merge the data in the column the auto filter wouldnt work. It will just return one row, for me the auto filter should also work even after merging. Manually Im filling the same rows by color white and text white so can we write a code to do that for multiple columns with same value
