    Try this array formula
Please Login or Register to view this content.
Confirm with Ctrl+Shift+Enter not just Enter

    N.B.
Your data seems to have trailing spaces, that is why I have used "A " & "DAD " in the formula.

I have noticed this recently in many worksheets from India, how does this come about?
Are you typing "A" then spacebar then return? Or is it something else commonly done in India?

Trailing spaces are impossible to see and cause all sorts of problems when comparing strings.
Avoid this practice or clean out data by using TRIM() before proceding.

    Hope this helps.

Re: Filter Latest Date in Excel

The problem is that Column K also has text entries.

Although the Max() function on its' own ignores these entries, the array formula doesn't and tries to multiply the text values, hence the #VALUE! error.

    Try this array formula

Confirm with Ctrl+Shift+Enter not just Enter

It might be that you could use SUBTOTAL() and filters, rather than the array formula.
I have added this to K1
Please Login or Register to view this content.
    Filter Column D for "WL"
    Then
Filter Column N Text > Begins with "Drop "

or whatever your needs might demand.

    Hope this helps.
