Unhappy Lookup problem when sorting data in a table

    Hi,
I and 30 other colleagues have just spent an entire morning analysing data which could be easily done by Excel and its a waste of time!

We have to look at a level at age 7 (e.g. 2b) then look at the level achieved at 11 (e.g 3a)
and calculate the number of sub levels achieved.

We then have to set a Good progress target (this is 7 sublevels - or 2 full levels and a sub level) for each child.

We then have to record how many sub levels are needed to reach this goal.

23 teachers 700 kids to do and pens and paper. Barbaric - but I haven't the knowledge to sort this and I must for the sanity of everyone concerned (we have to do this every 6 weeks!!)

I have set out an excel file showing the data required and the levels data. I know it's possible. Please can anyone out there help (would make loads of us very happy!!!!!)

    regards

    kevin
