Searching through strings with commas

Hi all,

As part of a VB code, I need to filter through names, containing commas. Keep the old and hide/delete the old.

I used the following when recording the code which worked in the document:

When using the macro record function, it translated the code to the following, which will not run.

what is the vba code to check the 4 first letters out of 8 letters?
lets say for example that i have a workbook named "book1234" and i would to check if the first 4 letters are "book"?
