How do I add this wildcard to this macro?

    Hello,

I have a code here made by Simon Lloyd for me over at excelguru.ca and I was wondering how I add a wildcard option.

    Here's the code:

Please Login or Register to view this content.
Now here's the wildcard function given to me by Leith Ross here at this site for another code I have:

Please Login or Register to view this content.
What this wildcard function does is it skips over a cell that says "John and Mary" or whatever like that so that "John" is not a wrong match only because "and Mary" is with him. Does anyone know how I would add this wildcard line of text (or something that does the exact same thing) to the code posted above?

    Thanks in advance!
    JB

    Wow that was fast !!!!!

    Thank you much SHG!

It appears as if the wildcard function here doesn't really work for my application... but hey, I'm not in any way complaining with service that fast and accurate!

    Hello again...

Here's the code you gave in a modified version:

Please Login or Register to view this content.
I have another code from Bob Phillips over at excelguru.ca and he gave me this:

Please Login or Register to view this content.
This code unfortunately doesn't work without giving me syntax errors, however it does what I want when I'm able to bypass the error - it highlights ONLY the text portions within a given cell rather than highlighting the whole cell.

What I was wondering was... how would I combine these two codes into one? Meaning, instead of the red highlights for the whole cell, how do I make SHG's code do the text highlighting (as indicated by Bob's code above) rathen than the cell itself?

    Thanks in advance!
