    Adding to a running total

Can anyone please help with what on the surface seems a simple problem. I have a column, D4:D22. The values in each cell is constantly changing. What I would like to be able to do is use VBA to keep an accumalative total of teh values appearing in say D4, in E4,D5 in E5 etc. The range of cells D4:D22 is not definite. it may be D4:D16 on one occasion, D4:D20 on another etc etc.

It seems quite a simple thing top do, but is driving me nuts. I have found bits of code on the web which works if I only use say values in D4 and total in E4. The moment I add the additional code to work in D5 to E5, When the value in D5 changes it adds it to E4 as well.

Anyone any ideas? Many thanks for taking a look at this

How are these values changing - as a result of formulae?

Hi Stephen, yes they are. I think I have read somewhere that it causes a problem in itself does'nt it? But if you can help it really would be great as this is driving me nuts.

Thanks for a quick reply by the way

Maybe it could be based on your source sheet. Could you post a small representative workbook?
