    floating window

    Hello,

I Organise the precense of my colleague's at work. I have created a work book in excel with 12 sheets (one for each month). on every sheet there are the same buttons (e.g. "Morning shift", "afternoon shift", "night shift"). Behind these buttons there is a macro that puts "M" or "A" of "N" in the selected cell.

Now i wanted to putt these buttons in floating window on the excell sheets, so that the buttons are not on each sheet anymore. I thought to fix this with a USERFORM with buttons on it and this userform starts when opening the workbook.

Bud now is the problem: when I open the workbook, the userform is on top and I can't select any cell or sheet to put the information in. I only can click on the buttons in the userform.

Any idea's how to fix my problem?
-is there no way I can select cells with the userform aside
-Is a USERFORM maybe not the correct method?

    Thx

    Re: floating window

A userform is, by default, modal, which means it maintains focus until dismissed.

In 2005 you may as well have a floating toolbar

    Add_Toolbar.zip

Or there's an example of a "floating window"

    FloatingForm.zip
    Hope that helps.
