Entering a username and password while downloading a file in a Excel macro

I'd like one of my macros to download files from a SharePoint. I have the URL and I normally browse in Windows Explorer to manually download the files (it needs a username and password). When I try and do the same in a macro via a Workbooks.Open Filename: command it pops up with the username/password box but the pop-up keeps disapparing behind my Excel window. Even if I bring it back to the front the active window goes back to the 'contacting the server for information' dialog box.

How do I avoid this? Can I state the username and password in the Workbooks.Open Filename command or in the macro?
