Exporting from excel to text file

Hi!

I have been trying to figure out how to export data in excel to a text file. I know it can be saved as a text file but the file needs to be in the following layout:

Column name: Check Number
Start Position: 1
Length : 8
Column Name: Amount
Start Position: 9
Length: 14
Column name: Date
Start Position: 23
Lenth: 8
Date Format: MMDDYY
Column Name: Payee
Start Position: 31
Length: 45

From what I've been reading, a macro needs to be created/ input to get this done.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
