    Creating an index with hyperlinks

    Hello,
I have a file with two sheets. The first sheet1 contain an index with cells that have a certain value. I would like to have a macro that creates an hyperlink in the cell in sheet1 to the cell in sheet2 that has the same value.
I attach an example to make things clear.
As the data in sheet2 are organized in repeating ranges the hyperlink could also point to a progressive range value.
I've searched over the internet for a solution but I couldn't find anything!
I hope I will find help here as in other occasions!

    Thank you!

Re: Creating an index with hyperlinks

    Hello,
thank you very much for your quick response, but while the code works fine on the test file I've posted, it doesn't work on my original file.
Apparently the macro begin to run but then it gets stuck; I think the problem is that in the test there are only 2 entries but in the original file are about 90.
    Could it be the problem?

    Thanks!

    Macuil0101,

The macro is setup using the layout of the posted sammple workbook. Is the layout different in your normal workbook? Also, would it be better if the macro was altered so that instead of searching for the values in sheet1, it simply hyperlinks to predefined, incremented locations? (eg the first hyperlink goes to sheet2!A1, second hyperlink goes to sheet2!A11, third hyperlink goes to sheet2!A21 etc)
    Hope that helps,

    The layout it's the same, but i think the problem is that there too many filled cells on sheet2 and then the macro has to search across them all to find the right one;
The proposal on linking by progressive range could work.
The cell's repeat with 1 every 44 ratio.

    Thank you very much!
