Suggestion for Storing Important Dates as Date Model with Yearly,Monthly,Quarterly signiifcance
Dear Forum,
I am making a Calendar which will just show the Monthly Calendar, however I want to incorporate the Different Types of Dates that will be significant in terms of Holidays such as Bank Holidays and Important Payment Dates which fall on the same day of each Month or even certain Payment Dates which are Yearly,Half-Yearly, Quarterly or Even Monthly..
Then again Birthdays will be every year on the same date, so what is the best design to have all these dates jsut once and not keep the data redundant but yet it offers all the values for the future programming..
Actually, unlike other countries Indian Holidays are dependent on different types of dates such as Fixed Dates like our Independence Day,Republic Day,Gandhi Jayanti , Christmas which fall on the same date of every year and the Flexible dates which are dependent on the Religious Calendars such has the Hindu, Islamic, Parsi, Sikh etc...primarily to decide the date according to the specific calendar and then the English Date so the Festival Dates are never same and keep on changing each year as all of these Calendars have different calcualtions..
So, its diffcicult to have the dates fixed ...now I am looking to make a Table where I put all the combination of these dates i.e Fixed Holidays, Payment Dates - Monthly,Qtrly,HYearly, Yearly etc and any other types..
Example:
If I mention that my Account gets Debited with the SIP - Systematic Investment Plan payment on a particular date then do I need to mention it for every Month as the Date remains the same, again for the yearly and other Mode Payments the same Funda...
So whats the Best way to catrgorize the data..
