    Conditional Formatting

I am trying to figure out conditional formatting for a (date) cell that would show the date of a change in data for a different cell. Is this possible??
    Thanks in advance!

    Re: Conditional Formatting

Not quite sure what you mean, but have you tried the 'Formula Is' option within the CF functionality?

Upload your workbook with an explanation of what you're looking for if you still can't figure it out.

    Re: Conditional Formatting

Hopefully I got the upload right. What I am trying to do is when we receive a coil have the date received change only when that size coil qty. is changed, and when the qty. punched is updated have that date updated as of the date that the data was changed as well.
    Thanks for looking at this.

    Re: Conditional Formatting

    Hi,

OK, this is not a conditional formatting request rather one for a macro.

Just to clarify. When you make a change in say C6,do you want the date in B6 to change? If so what date should appear? Is that Today's date, i.e. the date at the time you hit the enter key on the qty?

    Similarly with E6 & D6.

    Regards

    Re: Conditional Formatting

Today, meaning the day that the enter key is pressed would be correct, for the individual coil sizes.
    Can't thank you enough!!

    Re: Conditional Formatting

    Hi,

See the attached. I've added a small macro which will react to a change in either column C or E.
