    Identify Cells That Have Changed

I have two identical format workbooks both with a ref no in starting in column A row 2.

I'll call the the workbooks Last Week and This Week to keep it simple and the worksheets D&C1 in both workbooks.

I need a macro that will

    1. Start at A2 in Last Week Sheet D&C1 and define the ref no i.e. V0701.
    2. Offset by one column to the right and define the value in that cell.
    3. Switch to This Week Sheet D&C1 and find V0701 in column A
    4. When it finds V0701 Offset by one column to the right and define the value in that cell.
    5. If the defined cell in Last Week is different to the defined cell in This Week then

Then move down to the next ref number in Last Week and repeat.
    7. If the defined cell in Last Week is different to the defined cell in This Week then just move down one cell and repeat.

So any cells in column B in Last Week which are different in This Week have a highlighted background.

    All help appreciated.

    Tim.

Re: Identify Cells That Have Changed

    Hi,
I have cracked this but need some advice.

The following goes to the first ref no in last weeks file and finds it in this weeks file. it then offsets off to the right by two columns and colours the cell blue if the two values are different.

Can I make it run all the way down through and restart offsetting by three columns and then four columns I have 29 columns I have to check.

    Thanks
