    Task Scheduled Macro via Remote Desktop Not Working

    Hi, I know this may be better suited to a remote desktop forum but thought I'd try my luck here see if anyone knows.

    I have a spreadsheet and when it opens it automatically starts a macro.

    I have scheduled this task (to open XLS file) on my Windows Server 2008 machine.

    I log into this machine via remote desktop and if I am sat watching that screen then the macro runs fine at the scheduled time.

    If I close the session (not log off but click on X on the RDP session) then the scheduled task doesn't even open the spreadsheet.

    Can anyone think of a reason why this is happening pls?

    I've found a workaround now - I am running the scheduled macro from inside a VNC session rather than Remote Desktop. This is working great and allows me to close the VNC screen so I can get on with other work and ignore it.
