    Question Stopwatch/Timer

Hello, I'm a little new at using Macros. I need some help with creating a stopwatch with timer in excel. I've read several forums; however I cannot create anything close to what is out there. I want to create this sheet for our registration department at work. I would like for them to be able to click on a start button so that a timer starts off whenever a patient arrives or checks in and for it to also populate the arrival time on another cell. I would like to have a start button for every patient that we see. That way, every patient would have a timer set up. If we have three patients in the waiting room, three times should be on with three arrival times. I would also like to include some conditional formatting on the patients name or row so that when the timer reaches a certain amount, lets say like 15 minutes, it highlights that patients name with red or another color so that it gives the staff a signal for them to quickly get that patient registered and would also let them know the length of time the patient has been waiting. Right now, our staff really doesn't have a tracking system where they know how long each patient has been waiting. They also have to keep track of some other times: In Time, Out Time and Call Time. I would like for the time to populate on each patients row every time the start button for that patient is clicked on. I know that there should be some type of system out there for this; however, our company would not allow the budget for such system.

Can someone let me know if this is even possible. I've attached the sheet that I had created. I just need some guidance on how to crate the macros for the buttons and other options.

    Thanks,
    nbarron

    Re: Stopwatch/Timer

    Hi nbarron,

It's possible, but not something done overnight

I think you should have a look at this link and see if you can adapt the code to your needs.

If your stumple on more specific problems when trying to adapt the code you welcome to ask again.
