Format certain phrases of concatenated text

Hello!

I am concatenating text (="DESC: "&M10&CHAR(10)&"QTY: "&M11, etc.) , but when I do that, Excel wants me to format the whole cell instead of just parts of the text.

Here is what I was thinking as a workaround:

Obviously, my code is horrible but hopefully you can see what I am looking for. I also would need to know which event that code goes in.

Back to your initial observation... you cannot format PART of the text displayed in a cell that has a formula in it. Period. Not by hand, and not by VBA. If formula exists, all formatting applies to the entire cell only.

You can flatten the value, removing the formula, then you can partially format the cell, as I'm sure you already know.
