Exclamation Master List to be broken down

I have a master list of student and would like to populate class lists.

Each course has a CRN number

    the columns will be

    Student Number(a1)
    Last Name(b1)
    First Name(c1)
    CRN 1 (d1)
    CRN 2 (e1)
    CRN 3 (f1)
    CRN 4 (g1)
    CRN 5 (h1)

Each student can be in 5 classes, hense 5 crns. Is there a way to populate a class list based on if a student has a certain crn? all people with crn 5363 will be in one class(each class has own workbook), etc...

is this possible or am i wasting my time,
I bought a VBA book off a friend, but it's from 2005 and has some syntax errors. Thanks in advanced!

I think that a quick way would be to use MS Query. If you are not familiar, then here is a link to help you.
