It won't make much difference but there's no need to do all that selecting:

Thanks. It is still slow, which is odd. because if i do it through tool->goal seek->etc.. it is not slow at all.
Confused......
Are there any other equivalent VBA codes for me to use in order to achieve the same goal?

That is rather strange and I'm afraid I don't know what would be causing it. I don't suppose you can upload a sample workbook?
Dom
I'm afraid I can't. the workbook is massive and contains sensitive information.
But I attach a workbook to explain what i am trying to do. There must be something similar to goal seek (but much quicker) can help me to achieve the same thing?!?!

I suspect it may be the size of your workbook that is the problem - perhaps it is recalculating a lot at each iteration of goal seek. Does it work manually?
Please note: there is no need to quote a post that you are replying directly to - it just makes the thread harder to read. Just reply instead of quoting, unless you need to address a particular point in a post (in which case only quote that part) or are replying to an earlier post out of sequence.

it works fine manually. so i guess the size of the spreadsheet is not an issue.
Does the code actually work in the end?
Solved.
after moving the command button from one sheet to another (which contains the goal seek target and variable), it speeds up dramatically!?!?
Have no idea why, but it works.
Thank u all the same!
