    Enter static date into offset(0,1) if entry into current cell

    Hey,
    i want the current date to appear in column J if there is typed into cell in column I. That is, when for example something is entered into I4 then J4 will show today date. The edge is that this date has to be static, so that it wont update when we get past midnight

    Any help is highly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

    change "Now" into "Date"

    I changed it as you suggest, but nothing is happening when I type into random cells in column I. The code is placed in the worksheet.
    Code should be okay now though, cause I get no error message. But still need the sheet to respond.

    So when you type into a cell the date doesn't appear?

    with this code when you type something into cell then in cell's offset should be date and when you delete the cell the date from offset should disappear also
